Thank you for trying Square Tower for Windows 95.  We hope you like what you've seen; we're sure you'll like the registered version even more.

The registered version includes the following:

--> The rest of the levels, so that you can actually accomplish your mission and complete the game

--> Additional monsters that are tougher to defeat

--> Three lives, not just one; game restarts from latest level rather than returning to Level 1

--> Saved games take half as much disk space

--> Upgrade discounts on Version 2.0 when available

--> Game hints

--> Activated cheat codes

--> Future updates to Version 1.0 of Square Tower if there are any

A lot of time and effort went into designing and creating this game; if you like the end result, please register your copy. Please include information regarding your preferred method of receiving the registered version (e-mail or snail-mail).  (To make all this easier, print this file and fill out the order form on the last page.  Mail it, along with your check or money order. Recycle the rest.)

Now, here's some further incentive... information regarding Version 2. We will be adding the following features to the second version of Square Tower:

--> Network support, so you can play against someone via modem or the net.

--> Multi-player support.  Work as a team, as opponents, whatever suits you.  Player movement will be restricted so that all players are on the screen at all times.

--> Automatic Spell Use Mode, where any spell you find is instantly activated... no more hunting for the right key on the keyboard!

--> A Level Editor, so you can design your own levels to play (or let your friends play.)  Place walls, treasure, monsters, everything.

--> A Level Collection-- dozens of our favorite pre-designed levels, with a new story and a new quest to complete to win the game.

--> New monsters, new sound effects, cool graphics...

Since you actually took the time to read this whole thing, here's a free gift... a secret to Square Tower.  To maintain more than one saved game, rename the hidden file Square Tower.tmp (Square~1.tmp) in the Save directory to another name, preferably something you'll recognize.  When you wish to reload that game, rename the file back to what it was.

While we're giving hints, here's another... in the registered version, be sure to experiment, trying to figure out the cheat codes.  They aren't activated in the shareware version, but there are some incredible cheats available for those who register!
